The Awarding Ceremony of the 6th China Art Competition was held Friday at Malta China Cultural Center in the capital city of Valletta. Chinese Ambassador to Malta Cai Jinbiao, Malta's Minister for Justice, Culture and Local Government Owen Bonnici attended the ceremony. Ambassador Cai said that this year's theme of the competition was "China through my eyes," and the participants showed their imaginations by realizing them into paintings, and he hoped one day they would have the opportunity to visit China to see what a real China looks like. Bonnici said that Malta welcomes more and more Chinese artists and companies to get involved in the country's cultural life as Malta would celebrate the 450th anniversary of the foundation of Valletta in 2015, and hold the EU Presidency in 2017, also Valletta would be the European Capital of Culture in 2018. The two officials also presented prizes and certificates to the winners of the Competition. Participants' works will be on display until the end of May.
