
Nineteen persons and companies have today been presented with Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa Award.
Bahrain Elderly Care Society Honorary Chairman Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa patronized the ceremony this evening.
In a statement, the patron described the award as a token of gratitude to veterans and pioneers who dedicated their lives to serving their nation and society and caring for the elderly.
Bahrain Elderly Care Society Chairman Ahmed Mohammed Al-Banna addressed the ceremony, thanking Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa for supporting the association and patronizing the award distribution ceremony.
He paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and Deputy Premier Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa for their support and dedication in serving their nation and people.
Kuwaiti Aisha Al-Yahya also addressed the ceremony on behalf of the honourees, paying tribute to Bahrain Elderly Care Society Honorary Chairman Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa.
A documentary film showcasing the charity achievements of the Royal family was shown as part of the award distribution ceremony.
Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa then presented the honourees with the prize before touring an exhibition featuring the countries which are taking part in the award.
