Salma el-Assal to perform in Egypt

Prominent Sudanese singer Salma el-Assal is set to perform at Egypt’s Makan Center for Culture and Art next week, it has been confirmed today. The concert, due to take place on February 26, will feature a number of traditional Sudanese songs, such as popular wedding ballads known as “daloka”, which are performed using the musical instrument daluka.
