Residents urged to cooperate with Cairo governorate to preserve cultural heritage

Cairo Governor Galal Said urged Cairo residents to cooperate with the governorate to preserve the cultural heritage.
The governorate will exert utmost efforts to restore Cairo's civilized form, he affirmed.
The governor further said that he held a meeting Sunday with Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el-Damati along with international experts of the UNESCO, during which they discussed the problems facing Cairo governorate.
The UNESCO delegation said that preserving historical Cairo requires exerting tireless efforts and providing the necessary funding, he added.
