Prayers for peace in Syria were held on Saturday at the Armenian Catholic Archdiocese in Bab Touma neighborhood in Damascus.
The prayers were presided upon by Armenian Catholic Archbishop of Damascus Joseph Arnaouti.
During the ceremony, Archbishop Arnaouti said that Syria managed to confront the conspiracy targeting it thanks to the unity of its people, Christians and Muslims alike, praying to God to protect Syria and its people and army.
The prayers were held based on calls by Damascus’ patriarchs and archbishops of Damascus, who called for holding prayers for a month, with prayers held in a different church on each day, concluding with prayers in all churches in Damascus and its countryside on each Sunday during this month.
