Pope Tawadros II launched on Sunday Church Of The Virgin Mary & Mario Hanna in Bab el-Louk district downtown Cairo early Sunday.
A host of archbishops and hundreds of Copts attended the ceremony.
The pontiff opened the three altars of the church .
Pope Tawadros led a Mass at the church.
