Palace Museum to be closed on Mondays since January 1
Beijing - XINHUA
Tourists stand in front of the Shenwu Gate of the Forbidden City in Beijing on Dec. 31, 2013. The Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum, will be closed on Mondays since Jan. 1, 2014. But on public days and Mondays during July 1 to Aug. 31, the museum will still be opened.
