OIC urges Muslim nations to spend more on scientific research

The Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) called on its members to encourage more research in the fields of science and emerging technology.
International Islamic News Agency (IINA) said the pan-Muslim body called on its member states to spend 0.3 percent of their GDP on the scientific research year-on-year.
It said its members are currently spending 0.46 percent of their GDP on this field.
