Libyan official points to violations targeting cultural heritage

Ahmed Ali Abdel Jalil, the chairman of the Libyan archaeological authority, has pointed to numerous security violations that targeted the country's cultural heritage.
A ministry of antiquities is yet to be established in Libya, Abdel Jalil said on Tuesday.
He said that his authority will communicate with other world countries in a bid to retrieve Libya's stolen artifacts.
