
Minister of Culture, Nadia Labidi and the new Chinese ambassador to Algiers, Yang Yuanggu agreed Thursday in Algiers to "strengthen" the Algerian-Chinese bilateral agreement on cultural cooperation.
During a meeting with the Chinese ambassador at the Palace of Culture Moufdi Zakaria, the minister of Culture expressed satisfaction with the "revitalization and strengthening of bilateral cultural relations with regard to major projects that unite Algeria and China on cultural activities."
Besides, Labidi said the meeting represents an "opportunity to develop relations of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, culture and other areas", referring in this sense to the infrastructure built by Chinese companies in Constantine and Algiers.
For his part, Chinese ambassador stated the "development and promotion of cultural exchange is a priority for China," adding that he discussed with Labidi all "aspects of bilateral cultural cooperation before expressing his admiration for the "rich
Algerian culture."
