Tehran - FNA

A senior Kyrgyz cultural official, in a meeting with Iranian Cultural Attache Ali Kebriyaee-Zadeh in Bishkek, underlined his country’s willingness to broaden cinematic ties with Iran. Kyrgyzstan Culture Ministry’s Director General for Cinema Affairs Moqtali Bektan Aliyev pointed to the success of the Iranian cinema in the international arenas, and said Kyrgyzstan is willing to cooperate with Iran in cinema fields. He stressed that Kyrgyzstan’s cinema has had a successful performance despite facing many regional and international restrictions. The Iranian cultural attaché, for his part, briefed the Kyrgyz official about Iran’s cinema, and said, “Iranian films are known for reflecting moral issues and they will surely be interesting for the Kyrgyz audience.” Iran and Kyrgyzstan have recently expanded their bilateral ties and mutual cooperation in different fields. Kyrgyzstan has around six million population, and is a neighbor to China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
