
Kuwaiti-Egyptian cultural ties reach back numerous decades and have never been stronger more than now, said a Kuwaiti minister, in remarks to KUNA, prior to his departure Cairo after taking part in the opening ceremony of the 45th edition of the international Cairo Book Fair on Thursday.Kuwaiti Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs and President of the National Council for Arts and Letters Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah expressed appreciation to Egyptian authorities for selecting Kuwait this year to be a special guest of honor at the fair.He also appreciated Egyptian president Adli Mansour's visit to the Kuwaiti pavilion at the fair, noting that throughout the period of the fair, numerous Kuwaiti cultural events will be showcased, among them forums and lectures and musical presentations.Furthermore, the Kuwaiti minister said that he met with Egyptian minister of culture Muhammad Arab and discussed with him bilateral cooperation on cultural matters and invited him to visit Kuwait for that purpose.
