Izmir hosts dinner for visiting BIE delegation

Izmir, a candidate city to host EXPO 2020, has hosted dinner for a visiting delegation from the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) within the scope of “EXPO 2020 Izmir Health for All Symposium”. A delegation from BIE’s member states have gathered for a dinner in Izmir on Monday. Mustafa Toprak, Izmir Governor and EXPO 2020 Chief of Orientation Council and Executive Committee, and Izmir Mayor Aziz Kocaoglu have talked with the delegation before the dinner. Meanwhile, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Margaret Chan, backed Izmir’s candidacy for EXPO 2020. In a recorded video message, Chan supported the theme for Izmir’s EXPO 2020.
