
The Islamic Figh Authority on Tuesday said it fully supports the decision taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to close down the Inranian Cultural Center in Khartoum and its branches in the state, describing the move as a step in the right direction, to dry out threat sources to the national unity.
The Autorithy has pointed out in a press release it issued Tuesday that efforts should continue to curb the expansion of what it calls shiit threat in the country, calling on the government to take the necessary actions in this regard.
It is to be noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, summoned the Iranian Charge D'affairs in the Sudan and told him about the decision to close the centre in Khartoum and its branches in the state.
The Ministry in a statement said the Iranian cultural center in Khartoum and its branches in the states violated their mandate and become a threat to sudan's ideological and social security.
Ambassador Yusuf Al Kordufani, the official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has pointed out in press statements that Sudan has been closely monitoring the activites of the Iranian center and its branches in the various Sudanese states.
The spokeaman, Ambassador Kordufani, said the Iranian charge D'affairs to the Sudan, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was officially notified on the decision to close the center and also the decision to give the iranian clutural advisor and the staff of the center, seventy two hours to leave the country.
