Headless Egyptian statue found in Armant
Luxor - Mohammed Alaadisy
The French Institute of Egyptian Antiquities Mission, headed by Professor Christophe, found a new Egyptian statue in Temple Armant in south Luxor. A black granite headless statue was discovered and researchers are trying to establish more information on the piece, including its age. The city of Armant was known to be a centre of worship for Montu - The God of War and Fury.
