
KUWAIT, Jan 4 (KUNA) -- The Executive Office of the Gulf Disability Society in Kuwait is holding a painting competition for the disabled from 4 to 5 March.Chairperson of the office Kholoud Al-Ali told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Saturday that the Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah will patronize the competition, under the theme "express your dreams through painting, a unified Gulf." The competition aims to give all disabled people in the Gulf countries the chance to participate and show their talents to society, she noted, hoping that the event and its workshops would attract large numbers of participants in the age category of 12 to 20 years old.Each country will participate with 25 paintings with five paintings for each category depending on the type of disability, said Al-Ali.She called on all those who wants to participate to immediately present their works to the office before January 15, noting that each individual is allowed to participate with only one painting.
