Gomaa warns of declaring intellectuals as disbelievers

Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa warned of declaring intellectuals as disbelievers, asserting the importance of thinking in all fields of life including intellectual, political, economic and administrating issues.
In a press release on Friday, Gomaa said the religious discourse faces three problems: stagnation, attempt to monopolize religion's basics and fear of renewal.
Gomaa deplored those who consider the renewal of religious discourse as blasphemy or those who consider mere thinking in renewing religious discourse as disbelieving in religion's basics.
