China's former premier Zhu Rongji has published a new book -- a collection of speeches and letters from his time as a leading official in Shanghai. The book consists of 106 items of Zhu's speeches, talks, correspondence and notes, as well as 83 photos, from his tenure as the mayor of Shanghai and chief of the municipal committee of the Communist Party of China between December 1987 and April 1991. Most of these documents have not been made public before. The book is jointly published by the Beijing-based People's Publishing House and the Shanghai People's Publishing House. Zhu acted as China's premier from March 1998 to March 2003.
