The General Egyptian Book Organisation [GEBO] has released a new novel, The Legends Of The Man Of Tuesday, by poet and novelist Sobhi Moussa. The novel takes the reader into the danger zone of political Islam, analysing and contemplating the phenomenon in detail and dealing with some of the movement’s chief protagonists, namely Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri. GEBO also releases a short story cycle called Spirit-Haunted Homes by Houida Saleh. Through the book, veteran writer Saleh delves deep inside characters that appear to have been neglected or marginalised in their lives. She champions women in the face of the injustice they face on the mental, physical and social fronts.
