National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters will continue organizing activities that reflect Arab and African cultures as an extension of the Arab-African Summit, due to be held in Kuwait on November 18. Assistant Secretary General of NCCAL Dr. Bader Al-Duweesh told the press Friday that these activities are being held in various cultural centers and commercial malls in the country. They show case modern and folkloric heritage from Arab, African and the GCC countries to provide the public with rich understanding of different cultures and the succession of different civilizations. A gallery for formative African art, music concerts and exhibit for African handicrafts will all be opened soon when the Summit kick starts here this month, Al-Duweesh noted. He added that these activities started October 24 and will continue to be held until November 16. More than 11 folkloric bands from Arab and African nations are engaging in these activities.
