Soldiers of the Guard of Honour of the Cravat Regiment take part in the Cravat Day celebration in Zagreb, capital of Croatia, Oct. 18, 2014. In 2008 Croatian Parliament showed special honor to the cravat as a national heritage and declared Oct. 18 as the Cravat Day. A Cravat, symbol of culture and style, originated from red neck scarves worn by Croatian soldiers serving in France in the 17th century.
