Chicago Sun-Times film critic Ebert fractures hip

Chicago Sun-Times film critic Roger Ebert confirmed on Twitter he is hospitalized after fracturing his hip. His wife, Chaz, tweeted Thursday her 70-year-old spouse injured himself performing "tricky disco dance moves," but is "doing well, asking for a computer, will probably tweet." Ebert later posted his own Twitter message confirming the fracture and reporting "no surgery needed." The Pulitzer Prize-winning writer survived thyroid and jaw cancer but lost his voice as a result of the diseases and treatment.
