Bait al-Quran
Manama - BNA

The founder of Bait-ul-Quran and its Board of Trustees' Chairman Dr. Abdullatif Kanoo said that "Bait Al Quran – The House of Quran - was founded to serve the Holy Quran and preserve rare, historic Qur'anic manuscripts from the first century down to the present day.
Bait Al Quran comprises three main halls that contain records of the Holy Quran since it was started to be written
Makkah Hall contains manuscripts written on soft leather from the first to the sixth century written in rudimentary Kofi calligraphy. These feature no dots on the Arabic letters. The main hall contains a rare collection of miniature scripts written by revelation scribe Zaid bin Thabit who was close to the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
All scripts indicate the beginnings of Arabic calligraphy and the introduction of the system of dotting Arabic letters.
