Bahrain will take part as guest of honour in the new edition of Aseela Cultural Festival, scheduled to be held on August 8-22. Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa today received former Moroccan Foreign Minister and Assela Cultural Festival founder Mohammed bin Isa to coordinate preparations.
The ministry is planning to seize the opportunity to showcase Bahrain's artistic and cultural heritage and bolster joint cooperation as Manama is celebrating Year of Art 2014 under the theme "Our Year of Art 2014".
Bahrain's fine artists will showcase their artworks as part of the programme which includes also short documentaries, a book fair in addition to a traditional café and folklore bands, bringing aspects of Bahrain's deep-rooted heritage to Morocco.
