Bahrain will tomorrow (August 5) the other Muslim countries in marking the Islamic Human Rights and Dignity Day. Minister of State for Human Rights Affairs Dr. Salah bin Ali congratulates citizens and residents on this occasion. He stressed the crucial role if Islamic precepts in the foundations for human rights principles. “This event is an opportunity to take tangible steps towards anchoring human rights and promoting the culture of human rights”, Dr. Ali said He congratulated Muslim countries and establishment of an Independent Human Rights Authority affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). He also pointed out Bahrain’s strides in enshrining the principles of human rights in the constitution and national legislations, reaffirming the Kingdom’s to protect and consolidate human rights and promote the spirit of tolerance and reconciliation among people.
