
A two-day GCC youth workshop will start tomorrow (August 27) at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) General Secretariat is organizing the event under the theme "Building Society and Youth Initiatives".Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa will patronize the workshop.
GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Minister of State for Information Affairs and Government’s Official Spokesperson Sameera Ibrahim bin Rajab will attend, along with GCC ambassadors and officials.
The participants will discuss in three sessions the role of youth in community developments, ways of honing youngsters’ skills and encouraging constructive initiatives.
The workshop will also focus on youth participation in community development in the GCC member countries, spotlight the challenges confronting Arabian Gulf youngsters.
