
The Isa Cultural Centre yesterday (December10) signed a memorandum of understanding with the German Embassy to promote cooperation. The deal was sealed on the sidelines of a function which was held at the Isa Cultural Centre marking the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
The agreement aims at promoting cooperation to hold joint cultural activities and events and exchange progarmmes and expertise. Isa Cultural Centre executive director Dr. Khaldoun Aba Hussain, stressed the importance of the agreement which was sealed with the German Embassy in promoting bilateral cooperation.
A photo expo showcasing the history of the Berlin Wall on the sidelines of the signing ceremony. "Good Bye, Lenin", a 2003 German tragicomedy film, was also shown, in the presence of the German Embassy staff, cultural savvies and cinema fans.
