AlBayan magazine seminar turns sour

The Unification and Reform Movement organised an international seminar in Rabat on Sunday with the cooperation of the Saudi magazine “AlBayan”. The seminar, however, resulted in a great dispute in the Moroccan society due to the participation of the Takfiri views in Saudi Arabia. The disagreement was primarily due to opinionated articles condemning democracy, which denounced the incompatibility of Islam and democracy. Many questions were raised by those who had attended the seminar — which discussed values and recorded their observations on publications that were distributed on the spot — including whether the new party leading the government would address their critics or not.
