There are 16 globally registered archeological heritage works in Iran, Iranian Vice-President and Head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Massoud Soltanifar said. Soltanifar told the Islamic republic news agency that beside 16 globally registered works that exist in Iran, there are 47 such works put in the UNESCO waiting list for registration – the total number of such works due to be registered globally thus reaches 63. He made the remarks on the sidelines of his visit to the historical and cultural complex of Taqe Bostan in Kermanshah Province on Sunday. Soltanifar also said Iran enjoys many antique and ancient relics and works and the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization intends to follow a better management system in that connection.
