Doha - Qna
Qatar Petroleum (QP) highlights its prominent role in the regional and global oil & gas industry with its strong participation in the 17th Middle East Oil & Gas Show and Conference (MEOS), which kicked off earlier Monday at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The exhibition was inaugurated by Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain who later visited the QP stand, where he was briefed on QP and the corporation’s activities and was presented with a gift. QP is among the over 300 exhibiting companies from 30 countries at MEOS 2011, a list that includes all six national oil & gas companies in the GCC and other major companies involved in various areas of upstream operations within the Middle East and across the globe. "QP always makes it a point to participate in major events, like MEOS, in support of the continued development of the industry and as an expression of our solidarity with all major players and industry professionals from within the region and other parts of the world," said Public Relations and Communications Manager of QP Sultan Abdullah Ali Al-Abdullah, The QP exhibition stand, which is located in Hall 1 at Stand No. 901, is manned by a delegation of senior officials, who will welcome all visitors and inform them about the corporation’s latest activities and high-profile projects. The delegation will also take full advantage of the event to invite industry professionals to attend the 20th World Petroleum Congress (WPC), which QP is hosting in Doha on December 4-8, 2011. This year’s edition of the WPC is historic as this will be the first time ever that it will be held in the Middle East since the establishment of the event in 1933.
