OPEC price basket down to $73.47 per barrel

OPEC daily basket price went down by 68 cents to USD 73.47 a barrel on Friday, compared with USD 75.10 a barrel the previous day, the cartel said in a statement here on Monday.
The monthly rate of the OPEC basket price for October hit USD 85.06 a barrel compared to USD 95.98 a barrel in September, it said.
The new OPEC Reference Basket of Crudes (ORB) is made up of the following: Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Iran Heavy (Islamic Republic of Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE) and Merey (Venezuela).
