New gas field discovered north of Qatar

HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr. Mohammad bin Saleh Al-Sada announced Sunday that a new gas field with 5.2 trillion cubic feet was discovered in the area “North 4″ within the country’s territorial waters. In a press conference held this morning to announce the discovery, HE Dr. Mohammad bin Saleh Al-Sada said that the new gas field will be developed with “Wintershall” and “Mitsui Gas Development Qatar B.V.”
