Egyptian ambassador denies Cairo will reduce gas supplies to Jordan

Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan Khaled Tharwat denied news reports that his country intends to reduce its natural gas exports to the Kingdom and cut them completely by June.The ambassador said in a press statement today that there will be no reduction in the quantities of gas exports to Jordan, adding that the flow of gas to Jordan has been the same for the past three months.“The Egyptian side has no intention to cut gas supplies, he said, highlighting the strong ties between Jordan and Egypt.
