UniCredit to raise capital, cut 5,000 jobs

Italy's top bank UniCredit on Monday announced it would cut some 5,000 jobs by 2015 and approved a capital increase of 7.5 billion euros ($10.3 billion) but said it would not pay dividends this year. The bank said it was forecasting an increase in its net profit to 6.5 billion euros by 2015 following the job cuts.
