Spain, S&P cut ratings of 11 banks

The agency Standard and Poor's has cut the credit rating of 11 Spanish banks following a lowered judgement on Spain's sovereign debt last week to BBB-: one level above 'junk'. In particular the agency cut Santander's rating two levels, depriving the bank of its A- rating and classifying it BBB with a negative outlook.
