Professor tapped as BOK's new board member

South Korea's bank association said Friday it has recommended a professor of international economics as the new policymaker of the central bank's monetary policy committee. The Korea Federation of Banks said its board picked Hahm Joon-ho, 50, for the four-year post. He replaces Lim Seung-tae, whose term ended last month.
