Director of al-Sham Bank Central Treasury arrested

The competent authorities arrested director of the Central Treasury of al-Sham Bank as part of an anti-corruption campaign.
Meanwhile, competent authorities, in cooperation with the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-terrorism Financing Association, are currently inspecting two local exchange companies.
The local exchange companies being scrutinized and inspected are al-Sham and al-Wataniya (The National) exchange companies.
The inspection comes in the context of a rigorous clampdown on companies and sides in connection with money laundering and financing terrorism.
