
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered $120 million to banks during an auction Tuesday to fulfill the needs of clients and importers of basic commodities with expectations that the CBE will fix the dollar exchange rate at EGP 8.78, banking sources told MENA.
The CBE had reduced the number of weekly dollar auctions from three to one with increasing the amount of offered dollars from $40 million to $120 million per auction.
