BoJ: Major Japan manufacturers' confidence rebounds

The business confidence of major Japanese manufacturers turned positive in September after diving in the wake of the March disasters, the Bank of Japan said in its quarterly Tankan survey Monday. Large manufacturer sentiment in September rose to "two" from "minus nine" in June, Monday's survey showed, although medium and small-sized firms' feelings remained negative. The figures represents the percentage of companies saying business conditions are good minus those saying conditions are bad. The survey is taken into account by the BoJ when formulating monetary policy.
