Banking sector records robust growth

The Qatar banking sector witnessed a robust 68% year-on-year growth in their profits in the first quarter (Q1) of this year; outperforming the GCC average of 18%, according to a study. “Qatar once again exhibited the strongest quarter-on-quarter as well as year-on-year growth in profits with a growth of 58% and 68% respectively,” the Global Investment House said.
