In line with its commitment to further the economic empowerment of women in the UAE, Mahra, the ladies banking division of Ajman Bank, announced today its sponsorship of the Ajman Businesswomen Council's "Hand Made" exhibition, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman. The "Hand Made" exhibition was created to provide a showcase for local women to display their home made goods, while also offering professional advice on how to develop and grow a home-based enterprise. Maryam Al Shorafa, Head of Ladies Banking, Ajman Bank, said: "Ajman Bank is fully committed to play a key role in supporting the next generation of female entrepreneurs in the UAE. Events such as  Hand Made' serve as a showcase of home made products as well as a forum for the exchange of ideas and best practice. Emirati women are well educated and ambitious, so the trend over recent years of increasing levels of women entrepreneurship is set to continue over the long-term." Mahra has been designed by Ajman Bank to meet the professional requirements and lifestyle needs of women across the UAE. Mahra customers receive a range of benefits, including a Mahra Debit Card, which provides discounts at high-end retail outlets, more than 60 restaurants, hotels and resorts across the country. In addition, Mahra customers are eligible for unlimited access to health and fitness facilities at Ladies Clubs in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. Moreover, customers receive free valet parking at leading venues across the UAE and access to concierge services, and a host of corresponding lifestyle and convenience benefits. "At Ajman Bank we continuously endeavour to understand the needs of our customers - especially women, who are important member of society and whose increasing influence in financial decision-making creates a need to address their special requirements," said Asad Batla, Group Head of Retail Banking, Ajman Bank.
