22 foreign banks ready to establish branches in Iran

Head of the Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran said so far 22 bids for establishment of foreign banks have been offerred to his institution. Behrouz Alishiri said the regulation for establishment of foreign banks has been ratified and Central Bank of Iran should give information in this respect. 'Some $5 billion foreign investment in the first six months of current Iranian year (started March 21, 2010) has been approved,' he said.
