Dubai ruler posts photos on Instagram

UAE Vice President and Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum has shared pictures of him spending time with his children on social network Instagram. One of the most social media savvy world leaders, Sheikh Mohammed posted a picture of his youngest son, Sheikh Zayed bin Mohammed bin Rashid with the caption, ‘Meet my son Zayed’, on Thursday. The image, which is the first time his youngest son has been pictured, was a hit with the UAE’s ‘Instagrammers.’ It got nearly 27,000 likes and over 2,300 comments. Sheikh Mohammed also shared a picture of his daughter Al-Jalila playing on the beach. The ruler’s official Instagram profile, @HHSHKMOHD, has more than 125,000 followers and features a number of never-published-before private photos, which document significant moments in his life. According to UAE’s official news agency WAM, Sheikh Mohammed is interested in broadening the scope of communication with the community using social media which offers instant interaction with people within the UAE and abroad.
