Seoul - Arabstoday

With the Samsung Galaxy S3 set to take the Korean handset manufacturer to new heights of success in the coming weeks, new reports have suggested that 40 per cent of Android smartphones sold are currently Samsung branded devices. Having helped pioneer the now dominant Android mobile operating system, Samsung has risen to prominence in the smartphone market with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy Nexus and a selection of other Android and Windows Phone handsets catapulting the Apple and HTC rival to the fore. With recent reports suggested Samsung has already recorded 9 million Samsung Galaxy S3 pre-orders, news reports have suggested Sammy now accounts for a staggering 40 per cent of all Android smartphone sales, eclipsing the likes of the HTC One X and Motorola Razr. Accounting for one in four of current Android sales, Samsung is likely to see its share of the smartphone sector rise in the coming weeks with a May 30th Samsung Galaxy S3 UK release date lined up for the handset that is to land sporting a 1.4GHZ quad-core processor with an 8-megapixel camera and a 720p HD display. Are you in the market for a new smartphone? Would you plump for a Samsung branded handset over other manufacturer’s models? Let us know via the T3 Twitter and Facebook feeds.
