
The inspirational role of the medical research award in tackling sophisticated health issues has been stressed today. State Minister for Defence Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Health Council Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa praised the tremendous development of the 7th edition of the award thanks to the efforts of an elite of medical experts and academics from Bahrain and the region.
He was speaking on the sidelines of a celebration of the 7th edition of Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa Award for Scientific Research which was held today in the main lecture hall of King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH) under the aegis of Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and in the presence of Health Minister Sadaq bin Abdul Karim Al Shehabi, KHUH Commander Dr. Shaikh Salman bin Atiyatallah Al Khalifa, Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Aisha Bu Unq, senior officials from KHUH and the Health Ministry and an elite of pioneering medical figures from Bahrain and abroad.
The State Minister for Defence Affairs stressed the key role of King Hamad University Hospital in supporting the elite of medical experts and their researches. The winners with best medical researches published in Bahrain medical Bulletin 2013 were presented with their prizes.
