Google unveiled it has been removing 250,000 links a week from the search engine due to copyrighting. "When Google gets a request to remove a site that is violating copyright, Google removes that site from the search engine results. Basically, when someone is looking for a specific topic, your website link will not appear anymore." Google reports that the number of requests have dramatically increased from 2009. They receive requests each week that is more than they received all of 2009. They approve about 97% of the requests but they won't remove a site just because of opinions such as this entertainment company wanted to remove a site because of a negative review; they were part of that 3% that was denied.
