Google marked the 66th anniversary of New Mexico's "Roswell UFO incident" Monday with a doodle that lets users play a point-and click game featuring an alien. The doodle lets users guide the alien on a search for parts to repair its spacecraft for a journey home, USA Today reported Monday. The mini-game is presented in a 1940s black-and-white theme, harking back to the day in 1947 when a mysterious object fell to Earth on a Roswell ranch, sparking decades of speculation involving flying saucers, Air Force coverups of recovered spacecraft and alien bodies. Authorities insisted that what crashed into the desert was debris from a top-secret surveillance balloon, an explanation that has done little to quell generations of conspiracy theorists, nor stem a tide of books about the incident. The animated Roswell doodle is the most complex Google doodle to date.
