The European Space Agency says it will join other space agencies and industry in a dedicated exhibit zone at Britain's Farnborough International Airshow. The dedicated Space Zone at the airshow beginning Monday will feature key players from international space agencies and companies from the aerospace, defense, space and security sectors to highlight the increasingly important role of space, a release from ESA's Paris headquarters said Friday. The exhibition will highlight how space exploration pushes the frontiers of knowledge, supports a competitive Europe, and creates technical innovation and new business, ESA officials said. The exhibition will give visitors a close-up look at the new generation of ESA's weather, climate and navigation satellites, they said. The Space Zone will host a series of high-level events, including a dedicated Space Day conference organized and hosted by the United Kingdom Space Agency Tuesday, the ESA release said.
