
The United Arab Emirates’ telecommunication servicesprovider Etisalat Wednesday launched a new Smart Security and Surveillancesolution which protects customers from theft, vandalism, accidentsandunauthorised entry, a WAM news agency report said.The telecom major is in partnership with LG Electronics, to provide customers with afully-hosted end to end IP-based solution offering security features such as live on-site video streaming, centralised video archiving, remote video playback, alarm relayand video analytics.UAE Etisalat Digital Services Senior Vice President Abdullah Hashim said, “Businessestoday are increasingly concerned with security and procedures and technology musteffectively prevent vandalism, accidents, or unlawful building access from disruptingdaily operations.Many companies still use closed circuit TV (CCTV) but this is not an efficient way toview property and assets remotely.“Our new IP-based solution is a one stop shop for security and surveillance allowingbusiness owners to stay one step ahead of any unwarranted activity.“Operated via an extensive network and data centre facilities by a trusted partner forsensitive data, this competitively priced solution will give customers added peace ofmind.”Aimed primarily at SMEs and large enterprises, Etisalat’s Smart security andsurveillance solution is offered with a managed service contract and up to three yearpayment plan.The service is offered on a performance based Service Level Agreement (SLA) andrequires no upfront investment, the WAN report said.
