The State of Kuwait hosts tomorrow the Arab Internet Governance Forum 2012 organized by the Kuwaiti IT Society under the slogan (Better Internet for a better Arab World) in the period 9-11 October 2012. The conference events are conducted under the kind auspices of the Kuwaiti Crown Prince, HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jabir Al-Sabah under the umbrella of the Arab League and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN-ESCWA) in coordination with the Forum's secretariat represented by the Arab Republic of Egypt's Communications Authority and the Economy and Business Magazine as a strategic partner. The forum serves as an annual platform for governments, private sector organizations, NGOS, academicians, regional and members of the international technology community to discuss relevant topics and issues pertaining to public policies relating to the internet in the Arab region.
